International administrative assistance in tax matters involves the exchange of information between the tax authorities of different countries. Switzerland's administrative assistance is governed by bilateral agreements on the avoidance of double taxation. If a request for administrative assistance is granted, information is transmitted. The information transmitted is not necessarily banking information. It may also include details such as company balance sheets, invoices or confirmation of the fulfilment of a tax obligation.
