Between February 24 and the submission deadline for VAT reports at the end of February, technical malfunctions occurred in the ePortal. As a result, some VAT reports could not be submitted.
The Federal Tax Administration FTA regrets this circumstance and apologizes for the problems caused. It is concerned that taxpayers will not suffer any disadvantages as a result of these disruptions for reports due by the end of February 2023.
Thus, the FTA has already not sent any reminders and has not issued any fines for non-submission of the VAT reports in the period after the migration at the end of 2022.
The technical helpdesk has been increased and FTA staff are available to answer questions by phone or respond to written inquiries. The FTA is doing everything it can to answer and resolve any questions or uncertainties that arise.
The ePortal is available again. We ask taxpayers to submit the statement promptly. Thank you very much.
